First Day Dress

Earlier this month I went on a bit of a First Day Dress making spree. I've been eyeing the pattern for a while and finally took the plunge and went for it. After sewing a dress for Samantha with some super cute fabric she'd chosen I made another one for Natalie in under two hours the very next day. It makes such a cute dress and it's a wonderfully quick sew.  In case any of my sewing friends are interested, here's my little pattern review... I really liked this pattern. For $10 you get a well put together product with lots of options. You can make both dresses and tops from this pattern so it's like two patterns in one! The directions were clear and thorough and walked me through each step of the sewing process. I think this pattern is perfect for anyone with a little sewing experience. Playing Catch Up

Okay, it's been an entire month since I posted anything on the old blog so it's time to catch up with what's been going on in the Moran household.  I guess I lost the will to blog or something... Anyway, here's a quick recap of the rest of the month of April; I'll get to May in some separate posts. The amazing runners pre-race And here they are after the race looking like the champions they are!  Abigail and Jared got up early one Saturday morning to run the Andrews Air Force Base Half Marathon. Abby is a great runner, but she doesn't really believe it, so this race gave her a big boost of running confidence.  This was Abigail's first race longer than a 5K and she totally killed it! She finished in 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 56 minutes - first in the female 11-20 year olds division and 80th overall.
