Jam-Packed July

When I was trying to remember what exactly we did in July I initially thought that we hadn't done much of anything. But then I keep thinking and I remembered that even though July wasn't as fun as June it was definitely filled so full that there wasn't much time to breathe.   We started out the month with a evening at the National's ballpark in DC. We love sporting events mostly because of the food. As you can see Natalie enjoyed a special Nationals pretzel. Not pictured - the cotton candy and ice cream that we ate before we spotted the pretzel guy walking up the stairs of our section. On the Fourth of July we rolled out of bed super early and headed to the squadron to make a pancake breakfast for the guys who had to work on the holiday. It was way too early and we made way too many pancakes but it was fun and I'm glad Jared had the idea to do this. The ongoing refrain of the airmen that morning, "Are these free?" Half a Year Gone

It's almost September and I'm just getting around to writing about June? It kind of feels like we had a pretty boring summer and didn't do much but the pictures tell a different story. Maybe our summer was so packed that it's hard to remember everything that happened.  If theres even anyone left out there reading our blog, here's a quick rundown of the wonderful month of June, the gateway to summer. Summer doesn't really begin until we've celebrated Abigail's birthday. This girl is sweet, helpful, occasionally frustrating, and positively awesome. Completing middle school is a big deal around here. When Madison and Emily finished eighth grade there was an awards assembly just like very other year, even a little slideshow, but that was the extent of things. Here in Southern Maryland "eighth grade promotion" is huge. All the girls get new fancy dresses and the ceremony completely fills the high school's gymnasium. It was seri...
